The Golden Triangle Epic (GTE) was the first mountain bike marathon event to be conducted in Victoria and a Marathon event that is run by a grassroots MTBA Club on local tracks and forest trails in the Bendigo region, which make the perfect venue. The route for the full epic passed through Ironbark forest to the foot of Mt Alexandra, then back within 2km of Bendigo. The GTE boasts more single trail than any other Marathon in Australia (75km total) and is a “fully supported” and “must do” event. The Open men and women participants are competing for a minimum of $1500 1st place.
